HOT TUB TIME MACHINE was pretty lame. Even though it's proud of its own idiocy, it feels like there are 1,000 missed opportunities...
from the previews john cusack seems really out of place in that flick.
it looks like something i'll check out on netflix.
Cusack wasn't the problem - all of the actors were pretty good, or at least, did what they had to do. It was the script that let them down (same old story).

Watched PHANTASM - which I just bought - for the first time in a long time. Such a weird, uneven movie. I want it to work, but it just refuses to make sense.

I know I have said this before but, if you watch Phantasm 2 and Phantasm 3 on two separate tvs sitting next to each other, the same shit happens at the same time in both movies! I've done it... It's crazy shit. I laughed a lot.
