Music Is Dead!
This is the first year that the Grammy awards absolutely meant nothing to me. Music in this country is dead.
Pissed!I recorded it and was able to fast-forward-watch-it in about 12 minutes (a 3-hour show). Needless to say, I don't seem to "connect" with much in today's music industry...
Glad to see AC/DC finally getting some much deserved respect. Other than that, much ado about nothing. They (artists) constantly bitch about not getting their due, money wise, but when you put out so much drivel. What do you expect? Where is my beloved rock? Pretty much dead the last 2 decades. I'll just hang back and relive the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's.
Rock is dead. Long Live Rock!
I do agree that American/World charts are the worse there have ever been, but there is still good rock still being produced it's just finding it,the net is good for that. But things well change, whats good will always be rediscovered and rock will rule again. And on a personal note the 90s had some pretty good rock music but that might of been the time you stopped listening.
We are in the musical dark ages my friends! I'm just glad we have the Rock gods of the 60's 70's and 80's to fall back on via our cds dvds etc.
Oh and btw Otis_Driftwood-I couldn't be more down with what yr preachin'!
With the comments I've received so far, is there any wonder why music sales are down?

Springsteen,Kings of Leon and ACDC(finally) were all winners so it wasn't all bad.
